January 10, 2019 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Item #27 Title APPROVAL OF THE SARASOTA COUNTY SCHOOLS SUMMER LEARNING ACADEMY (SCSSLA) GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR TRADITIONAL TITLE I ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS Description NON-COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $500,000 will support activities at traditional Title I elementary schools designed to improve school preparedness and stop summer learning loss in reading and math.  Due to fiscal considerations, the grant supports two (2) weeks of the Summer 2018 and four (4) weeks of the Summer 2019 program.
